二十九日早朝、社家惣代両人が中根摂津守の許へ参り、競馬の人馬の事をいかが成されるか相伺ったところ、申し渡されたのは、紀伊守殿の人馬は別屋敷に指し置かれ、穢れに混じらぬよう指し出すべきであるから、そのように心得るべき旨でした。これにより、
朔日・五日両度とも例年と異ならず飾馬並びに警固等が出され、神事は無事に済みました。

The instruction given was that Kii-no-kami's people and horses should be kept at a separate residence and sent out without mixing with defilement, and that this should be understood accordingly.
