現代語訳
五郎左衛門常文 初名は左門
母は高峰氏の女
妻は長谷川五右衛門常岑の娘（天明元年（1781年）十一月二十五日病死、法名は心聴院妙悟日法大姉、葬所は同上）
宮原学左衛門長寅の女（文化十二年（1815年）九月二十日病死、法名は実相院妙理日證大姉、葬所は同上）
一、延享四年（1747年）三月、親の願いの通り初めての御目見えを仰せ付けられた。
一、明和四年（1767年）二月、親の願いの通り御番代として外様組付を仰せ付けられ、杉田五郎兵衛組に入り、御城での御番を勤めた。
一、同年十月、頭の杉田五郎兵衛の願いの通り御役を免じられたことにより、跡役として加須屋五左衛門組に移った。
一、同五年（明和五年、1768年）三月、江戸勤番のため上り、同年十月に下った。
一、同年七月、江戸表において御道中の洪水の際に出精して勤めたことにより、

Daughter of Miyahara Gakuzaemon Nagatora (died of illness on the 20th day, 9th month of Bunka 12 (1815), posthumous Buddhist name Jissōin Myōri Nisshō Daishi, burial site: same as above)
1. In the 3rd month of Enkyō 4 (1747), as requested by his father, he was granted his first audience with the lord.
1. In the 2nd month of Meiwa 4 (1767), as requested by his father, he was appointed as a guard replacement in the tozama group and entered Sugita Gorōbē's unit, serving castle guard duty.
1. In the 10th month of the same year, due to his superior Sugita Gorōbē's request for relief from duty being granted, he transferred to Kasuya Gozaemon's unit as a replacement.
1. In the 3rd month of the same 5th year (Meiwa 5, 1768), he went up to Edo for guard duty service and returned in the 10th month of the same year.
