現代語訳
光勝院様の御前へ召し出され、御細工の品々と
金子三百疋、紗綾一巻を下賜された。
一同三戌年四月、亘理と改名したい旨を
願い出て許可された。
一同四亥年三月、臨時の勤番として江戸表へ
上がり、同六月、御留守中において特に心労を重ね
相勤めたことを大儀に思し召される旨を御直々に御意
を賜った。
一同年七月、奥において
光勝院様より御扇子、御手拭きその他御細工
の品々を下賜された。
一同年九月、勤番を終えて退下する際、
奥において
光勝院様より羽二重一疋、帯地を下
賜された。
一同年閏九月、御前において精出して相勤めたため
格式奉行同格に仰せ付けられ、
奉行の内へ仮の先輩次第で出席することができ、勤め方は
只今までの通り御用人として相勤める旨の御書
付を御直々に御渡しになり、御次において纏、馬印

He was summoned before Lord Kōshōin and granted various handicraft items,
300 hiki of gold, and one roll of silk gauze.
In the fourth month of the third year of the Dog (1778), he petitioned
to change his name to Watari and was granted permission.
In the third month of the fourth year of the Boar (1779), he went up to Edo
for extraordinary guard duty, and in the sixth month of the same year, during his lord's absence, he served
with particular dedication and hardship, for which his lord directly expressed
his gratitude, considering it most commendable.
In the seventh month of the same year, in the inner quarters,
Lord Kōshōin granted him a folding fan, hand towels, and various other
handicraft items.
In the ninth month of the same year, when finishing guard duty and retiring,
in the inner quarters
Lord Kōshōin granted him one tan of habutae silk and obi fabric.
In the intercalary ninth month of the same year, because he served diligently before his lord,
he was appointed to the same rank as a Protocol Magistrate,
and could attend meetings among the magistrates according to temporary seniority. His duties would
remain the same as before, continuing to serve as a retainer, as stated in a written document
