あったところ、上聞に達し、御機嫌をお思し召しになり、
大御所様が御対面なさる旨を仰せ出されたため、早速御登
城なさったところ、御座近くにお召しになり「他人に代わって御一人で御出府
された段は御深志の至り」と御満悦の旨の上意があった
ただし、その後御病気が御全快の上で御帰国なさったが、月日は
御記録類で不詳
一 右の御機嫌御伺いの件について、元の御世譜をはじめ諸書には「秋に
大御所様が御不例になったため」とあるけれども、杉田壱岐守の
勤中留記の中には「木本まで御出張のこと」が見え、その上

When this was reported and reached the Shogun's ears, he was pleased with [Tadamasa's] concern and ordered that he should have an audience with the Ōgosho (Retired Shogun). [Tadamasa] immediately went to the castle, where he was summoned near the sitting area, and received words of approval stating "Your coming to Edo alone, different from others, shows the utmost sincerity" and that [the Retired Shogun] was greatly pleased.
However, he later returned to his domain after the illness was completely cured, but the exact date is unclear in the official records.
1. Regarding the above inquiry about the condition [of the Shogun], the original genealogical records and various documents state that it was "due to the Ōgosho's indisposition in autumn," but in Sugita Ikino-kami's duty records, there appears an entry about "a trip to Kinomoto," and furthermore
