一 六月二十七日、田安御門御普請場へ
大御所様がお成りになった、その際御家来の本多伊豆守（富正）、永見志摩守（吉次）を
御前へお召し出しになり、御懇ろなお言葉をかけられた
一 七月三日、志比庄吉祥山永平寺の祚天（常智禅師）について
公辺に対して不調法な事があったため、江戸表へお呼び出しになり御吟味が済んだ
永平寺御追放、越前・関東・中京・大坂・江戸・駿河・尾張・紀伊へ
御払いを仰せ出されたので、祚天が帰寺の上で右の趣を申し渡し手形を取り、
江戸表へ回すべき旨の御老中連名の御奉書が江戸表から本多
伊豆守（富正）の書状を添えて御国許へ回された

ただし右について、永平寺の後住を仰せ付けられるまで、伝来の什物をすべて
永平寺役僧共と立会いの上で改め預かり置くよう、孝顕寺・
心月寺・鎮徳寺・安穏寺・乗国寺・総光寺・永春寺・
宗福寺へ仰せ付けられた
一 同月八日、右と同様の処置で、永平寺祚天が帰寺の途中
尾州熱田駅で不快になった段を使僧をもって相達したため、祚天を召し連れて
帰るよう仰せ付けられ、平塚清兵衛を熱田まで指し遣わされた

公方様が御不例のため、御機嫌をお伺いするため稲垣治部左衛門（重成）を

The Ōgosho (Retired Shogun) visited, and on that occasion his retainers Honda Izuno-kami (Tomimasa) and Nagami Shimano-kami (Yoshitsugu) were
summoned before him and received kind words from him
1. 7th month, 3rd day, regarding Soten (Zen Master Jōchi) of Eiheiji Temple at Mount Kisshō in Shihi Manor
Due to misconduct toward the authorities, he was summoned to Edo and the investigation was completed
Expulsion from Eiheiji and banishment from Echizen, Kantō, Chūkyō, Osaka, Edo, Suruga, Owari, and Kii
was ordered. After Soten returned to the temple, the above terms were to be conveyed to him, a certificate obtained,
and sent to Edo. An official letter signed by the rōjū (senior councilors) was sent from Edo along with
a letter from Honda Izuno-kami (Tomimasa) to the home domain

However, regarding the above, until a successor abbot for Eiheiji is appointed, all
inherited temple treasures should be inspected and kept in custody jointly with Eiheiji temple officials, and this was
ordered to Kōgenji, Shingetsuji, Chintokuji, An'onji, Jōkokuji, Sōkōji, Eishun-ji, and
Sōfukuji temples
1. Same month, 8th day, regarding the same matter, while Eiheiji's Soten was on his way back to the temple,
at Atsuta Station in Owari Province, he fell ill, which was reported through a messenger monk, so [orders were given] to escort Soten back,
and Hiratsuka Seibei was dispatched to Atsuta
