左迄茂無之儀茂越向に申成し其上荷
担人茂多く有之候故か甚以不本意之事
に至り候間無余儀筋ニ而茂可成丈相互ニ
勘弁いたし合得と遂示談不行届節ハ
格別左程に無之儀を事ケ間敷及訴訟候
儀ハ相見合音物之儀も兼々申付置候
通堅く取扱申間敷候若心得違之者於有
之ハ急度可申付候
右の趣追々触示置候処兎角御制度ニ品
を相用ひ近頃別而心得違之者も有之不埒
之事ニ候村役人共ハ勿論一家之内茂重
立候もの心に留置急度取締聊も心得違

一同不洩様呼出し能々読聞かせ其上為申
聞候段は支配所ヘ以書付来ル十三日迄ニ

【右丁】
それほどでもない事でも大げさに申し立て、その上仲裁人も多くいるためか、甚だ不本意な事態に至っている。やむを得ない筋の事でも、できるだけ相互に思いやりを持って話し合い、よく示談を遂げ、行き届かない時でも、格別重大でもない事を大事のように訴訟に及ぶ事は見合わせるように。贈り物の件についても、かねがね申し付けてある通り、堅く取り扱ってはならない。もし心得違いの者がいれば、厳しく申し付ける。
右の趣旨を追々触れ示してあるところ、とかく御制度に異議を唱え、近頃特に心得違いの者もいて不埒な事である。村役人共はもちろん、一家の内でも重要な立場にある者は心に留めおき、厳しく取り締まり、少しでも心得違い

がないよう厳重に守るように。この件について村役場へ一同漏れなく呼び出し、よくよく読み聞かせ、その上申し聞かせた旨は支配所へ書付をもって来る十三日までに届け出るように。

Even matters of little consequence are being exaggerated in appeals, and with many mediators involved as well, situations have reached most regrettable states. Even in unavoidable matters, people should show mutual consideration and reach proper settlements through discussion. When matters are not handled well, they should refrain from bringing lawsuits over issues that are not particularly serious as if they were major affairs. Regarding gifts, as has been repeatedly ordered, they must absolutely not be handled. If there are any who misunderstand these instructions, they will be severely dealt with.
Although the above principles have been gradually promulgated, there are those who continue to find fault with the regulations, and recently there have been particularly many who misunderstand these instructions, which is improper behavior. Not only village officials, but also important members within households must keep this in mind, maintain strict control, and ensure that there is not the slightest

misunderstanding, and these rules must be strictly observed. Regarding this matter, all personnel at village offices must be called together without exception, the instructions must be read aloud to them thoroughly, and a written report that they have been so instructed must be submitted to the administrative office by the 13th of next month.
