で外国人二人が何者とも分からない人に切り倒され、一人は即死、一人は深手の様子でございます。もう一人は軽傷程度の外国人がおり、これは同じ場所の三町目の水菓子屋に駆け込みました。この一件について一同大いに驚いている趣で参りました。このような状況では、この件が片付かない内は、まず交易も休止になるだろうと申しております。

where two foreigners were cut down by unknown assailants. One died instantly, and one appears to have been severely wounded.
