二十六日 朝は群雲、秋の冷気が終日続く
大津辺りでは疫病（コレラ）が非常に流行しており、城下へケイカンセキを十七両で買い入れに参った由。また十両で買いに参った由。大津では四日の間に七十八人、両三日以前までに百十六人ほど死んだとのこと。
二十七日 朝から曇り、九つ時（正午頃）から照り、秋の冷気
二十八日 朝から曇り、冷気があり終日曇空で続く。夜六つ時（夜中）から小雨が降り、四つ時（午前十時頃）に止む。北風が少し吹く。

先日の大雨で忍（おし）の城下が大水となり、御城まで水が押し寄せ、御家中の死人百人余りもあり、水害による損失が莫大であったとのこと。

The epidemic (cholera) is spreading extremely in the Ōtsu area, and someone went to buy keikanseki for 17 ryō in the castle town. Also went to buy for 10 ryō. In Ōtsu, 78 people died in four days, and about 116 people had died by two or three days ago.

Due to the recent heavy rain, the castle town of Oshi was flooded, with water rushing up to the castle itself. Over 100 retainers died, and the flood damage was enormous.
