朔日（一日） 朝から北風で雨が降り、四つ時過ぎまで雨が強い。前中納言様が今夕江戸へご出発。それから風は夕方まで吹き、雨は時々降る。夜中は風が止み、夜は時々雨。
二日 朝から曇り、終日曇りで時々雨
三日 朝は群雲だったが快晴になる。暑い。
四日 朝から曇り、五つ時にぱらぱら雨が降る。今日七つ時頃ご着城、前例の通り諸士中が御町まで麻上下でお迎えに出る。八つ時から一時間ほど雨が強く、七つ時から雨が小降りになり、七つ半時に雨が止む。
五日 朝から快晴、終日天気良し。夜中曇る。夜八時地震。
六日 朝から曇り、終日薄曇り空で蒸し暑い。夕方薄日が差す。六十七度。
今日急に銭を買う人が所々から参った由で、どういうわけか分からなかったところ、公辺にて百銭をご吹出しになる由。一両につき銭四貫文、ただの耳白銭五貫文になったとのこと。当時の銭相場は六貫八百文で買い入れ。

2nd day: Cloudy from morning, overcast all day with occasional rain
3rd day: Morning scattered clouds became clear skies. Hot.
4th day: Cloudy from morning, light rain at the 5th hour. Today around the 7th hour, arrival at the castle, with all retainers going out to the town in hemp kamishimo to greet as per precedent. Heavy rain from the 8th hour for about one hour, then light rain from the 7th hour, stopping at half past the 7th hour.
5th day: Clear from morning, good weather all day. Cloudy at night. Earthquake at 8 PM.
6th day: Cloudy from morning, lightly overcast all day and humid. Thin sunshine in the evening. 67 degrees.
Today people suddenly came from various places to buy coins, and though the reason was unclear, it appears the government has issued new 100-mon coins. One ryō equals 4 kan-mon in coins, while plain white-edged coins are 5 kan-mon. The current coin exchange rate is 6 kan 800 mon for purchase.
