現代語訳
米澤当夏【米澤2文字を消す】糸相場正味九文目入一固につき五十二両の相場であったところ、下田交易になるとの見込みで六十両位より七十両、それより追々引き上げ、この節は百五両までになったとのこと。誠に珍しい相場であるとのこと。
この節、磯大貫の辺りでコレラ病が流行し、追々死人があり、昨日今日などは浜々より畑へ胴を鬱陶しい色の木綿で巻き、谷中二十三夜より静明神へ参詣するとのことで、三、四十人位ずつ揃いかけ声をし、大騒ぎで参っている。
掛川からの書状は日記帳へ記し置く訳ではないが、ただ覚えのために留め置く。
