持たないものを言う。これは悪い症状である。また蚕種疱というものがある。これは蚕の
種のようなもので、この時頭と顔が大いに腫れて目を閉じて、また
早く窓を開けて変化を現す。全身が皆水もり（膿漿期）と
言っても頭と顔が水もりしないのは重大である。また吐き気が逆上して止まず、大
便が下り、小便に血を下すものは甚だ悪い。あるいは唇が太く
腫れて破れ血が出て食事が進みがたく、咽に痰が強く、涎が自然に
流れ出るのは悪い。また良い疱瘡でもこの時は少し痒みが
あり、またいらついて触りたいものである。これのために袖の長い襦
袢を用意するものである。また看病人も昼夜打ち続け

て疲れるゆえ、眠気が強く出るものである。新しい人を添えて
必ず眠るべきではない。膿水になりさえすれば少しかき破っても
大きな禍はない。随分油断すべきではない。
膿貫通（山上げ）三日の内の良し悪しの心得の事
この時山上げと俗に言う。これまでの順調な通りにさえ行けば
よろしい。上半分の手当てがよろしければ自然に山は十分に
上がる。疱瘡の豆に似ているのは山上げの時に知るべきである。疱瘡が出て
から七日に至ってその形が丸く赤く満々として光り潤いが
あって緑水のように段々にその色が蝋のようになって立ち上がって
