○今度江戸表ゟ西本願寺派之寺院御領分地頭共も夫々御呼出有之に付
御城下其外何方に而も大勢集り 御国法に相背候儀等有之候而は不相済
銘々心得違無之様大庄屋共心配致し夫々申渡候様可被申聞候

乍去御目付共之内此度被指出候間万端相含罷越候様被仰付候猶又江戸表へ罷出

御呼出之者共は早々罷出可申事

○西本願寺掛け所役寺円光寺の件について、先達て本願寺から用向きを申し付けられた際、当方へ伺いを立てずに直接江戸表へ出向いた件は御国法に背く不届きな事である。これにより揚屋に入れられた。その旨を円光寺が着次第申し渡すべし。なお御目付共と相談して取り扱うべし

○今度江戸表から西本願寺派の寺院について、御領分地頭共もそれぞれ御呼び出しがあることに付き、御城下その外どこででも大勢が集まり、御国法に背く事などがあっては済まされない。それぞれ心得違いが無いよう大庄屋共が心配して、それぞれに申し渡すよう申し聞かせるべし

公儀からの御呼び出しの件は重大な事で、万一あれこれ延引となっては公儀を困らせることになり、公儀でも軽くない事となって、かえって御憐憫の通りにも任せ難いので、願書は御取り上げ難い筋である。
しかしながら御目付共のうちこの度指し出されたので、万端心得て赴くよう仰せ付けられた。なお又江戸表へ出向くまでは可能な限り御心を添えられる事であるので、この上それぞれ心得違いなく、いずれにても御呼び出しの者共は早々に出向くべき事
一、御目付は来る二十三日出立の積もりであるので、御呼び出しの者共はそれまでに残らず出立するよう申し渡すべし。且つ又彼の地へ赴いた上は霊岸島御小屋のうちを御貸し下さるので、これも心得に申し聞かせるべし

○Regarding Enkoji Temple, a temple serving as an administrative office for Nishi Honganji: when previously assigned duties by Honganji, they went directly to Edo without consulting our office, which is improper conduct violating domain law. Therefore, they have been confined to the detention house. This matter should be communicated to Enkoji upon their arrival. Furthermore, this should be handled in consultation with the inspectors.

○Regarding the current summons from Edo for Nishi Honganji sect temples, as domain territory headmen have also received respective summons, large gatherings in the castle town or elsewhere that violate domain law would be unacceptable. The village headmen should take care to ensure there are no misunderstandings and should communicate instructions accordingly.

To the Administrative Head
○Regarding the petition concerning the summons to Edo of Nishi Honganji sect clergy and followers: since these are subjects of our domain, it is naturally proper that full compassion be extended to all.
Summons from the shogunate are serious matters, and should there be any delays, it would trouble the shogunate and become a grave matter that would make it difficult to rely on compassion alone, so the petition is difficult to accept.
However, since inspectors have been dispatched this time, they have been ordered to proceed with full understanding of all matters. Furthermore, until departure for Edo, every possible consideration will be given, so from now on, each person should avoid misunderstandings, and all summoned persons should depart immediately regardless of location.
1. The inspector plans to depart on the coming 23rd day, so all summoned persons should be ordered to depart without exception before then. Moreover, upon arrival at that place, lodging will be provided within the Reiganjima official quarters, so this should also be communicated for their knowledge.
