現代語訳
取り上げることになった際は、それぞれ褒美等を下し置かれるべきである。もっとも場所によっては出水の際に止めることが困難な所もあるであろうから、予め川筋の村々の者共が心がけて、流木を見つけ次第取り留め置き、村役人へ連絡すべきである。その際早速村役人共は右の趣旨を山方役所へ申し出るべきである。もし等閑な取り扱いがあれば過失となる。
右の趣旨をこの度改めて申し出られたので、諸寺院並びに在々へも厳重に申し渡し、受書を取り置き、時々吟味があるべきである。
七月十一日 但し右の趣旨を府中へも申し越すべき旨につき、留守居役の者を呼び寄せ別紙を渡した事

○去る未年に申し出られた繭糸商売の締切りのため、町在で繭問屋並びに糸改所を設立し、商売筋を改め帳面に記載し、冥加銀等を納入することになっているところ、未年については趣法初年のことゆえ吟味も行き届かないこともあったかもしれないが、昨今年に至っては追々吟味も行き届くべきところ、かえって締切り方が良くないと聞いている。かつまた繭糸商いの者の内で不届きな件も聞こえ、厳重に処罰されたこともあったが、この度の件は先ず沙汰に及ばれないので、今後違反する者があれば厳重に咎めを命じられるので、この段一統心得違いのないよう支配々で申し渡すべきである。なおまた糸改所・繭問屋の商いが無数にあるならば、その筋で遠慮なく吟味を行い詳細を連絡するよう処理すべきである。

However, since there may be locations where it is difficult to stop timber during floods, the villagers along the river courses should be mindful in advance, and whenever they spot drifting timber, they should detain it and report to the village officials. At that time, the village officials should promptly report the matter to the mountain office. If there is any negligent handling, it shall be considered a fault.
Since the above matter has been newly proclaimed this time, it should be strictly communicated to all temples and rural areas, acknowledgment documents should be obtained and kept, and periodic inspections should be conducted.

○ For the regulation of silk cocoon trade proclaimed in the previous Year of the Sheep, cocoon wholesale houses and silk inspection offices were established in towns and rural areas to regulate commercial activities, record them in ledgers, and collect gratitude silver. Since the Year of the Sheep was the first year of this system, there may have been inadequate inspections, but by recent years, inspections should have become more thorough. However, it is heard that the regulation has actually become less effective. Moreover, there have been reports of improper conduct among silk cocoon traders, and some have been severely punished. However, this matter will not be brought to official attention for now. Henceforth, if there are violators, severe punishment will be ordered, so this matter should be communicated through all administrative levels so that everyone understands properly. Furthermore, if there are countless silk inspection offices and cocoon wholesale businesses, thorough investigations should be conducted through proper channels and detailed reports should be communicated.
