通達有之格別之御倹約被仰出於御国表も御供立を始御省略之儀先達而被仰出候此
表諸役所之儀前々ゟ御省略被仰出候上之儀に候へ共今度別而御取締被仰出夫々申渡候
猶又於諸役所少分之儀に而も御倹約筋之儀存寄有之候はヽ相達可申候縦令御間欠ヶ
候程之儀に而も御了簡可被遊旨に候間右心得を以取調可申事に候追々御評議之上御
省略之儀可被仰出候間此段も申聞置候様被仰出候

江戸にて 御側御用人始め諸役向へ
○これまで度々申し出された通り、御勝手向の儀を御苦労に思し召され、追々御評議の内、当春御上屋敷御焼失につき過分の御物入りが到来し、甚だ御心痛されている。これにより御一門様を始め諸御大名方へも御通達があり、格別の御倹約が申し出され、御国表においても御供立を始めとして御省略の儀が先達て申し出された。この表の諸役所の儀は前々より御省略が申し出されている上のことであるが、今度別して御取締りが申し出され、それぞれ申し渡された。なお又諸役所において少分の儀でも御倹約筋の儀で存念があれば相達すべきである。たとえ御間が欠けるほどの儀であっても御了簡されるべき旨であるから、右心得をもって取り調べるべきことである。追々御評議の上、御省略の儀が申し出されるから、この段も申し聞かせ置くよう申し出されている

○As repeatedly announced before, financial difficulties have been of great concern, and during ongoing deliberations, this spring's fire at the upper residence has resulted in excessive expenses, causing great distress. Consequently, notifications have been sent to the main family and various daimyo, announcing exceptional economy measures, and in the home domain as well, economization including escort reductions was recently announced. Regarding the various offices here, economization has been announced repeatedly before, but this time particularly strict supervision has been announced and communicated to each respectively. Furthermore, if any office has ideas for economization, even in small matters, they should communicate them. Even if services might be reduced to the point of interruption, such measures will be considered, so investigations should be conducted with this understanding.
