六右衛門の嫡子である金子三四郎という者に百人扶持銀百枚ずつを下され
御小性として召し出された。六右衛門は隠居として領地三百石を下され、三四郎が
相勤めている間、金子の称号は御小性役には似合わないので改めるべき
旨の御意により、母方のことをお尋ねになったところ青木甲斐守の娘であると申し上げると
青木小源五という御名前を付けて召し仕えさせたが、江戸において病死した。先
祖については、佐々木高家の嫡子金子十郎源家忠の末孫である金子左京
進正義という者が天正十八年に直江元次と戦死したという。その弟である金
子美濃守《六右衛門の父である、諱は分からない》は左京進討死の後、家士並びに与力等を支配した
という。上野国郡馬郡金子の城主で所領三万五千石ほどの
身上であったという。上杉景勝、直江山城守兼続、その他国綱義久重経、布
沢上野介氏俊などからの到来の書状を今に持ち伝えている。六右衛門は

Rokuemon's eldest son, called Kaneko Sanshirō, was granted a stipend for one hundred men and one hundred pieces of silver each,
and was summoned as a page (koshō). Rokuemon was granted a domain of 300 koku as a retiree, and while Sanshirō
was serving, it was decreed that the Kaneko designation was unsuitable for the page role and should be changed.
When asked about his maternal lineage, he reported that she was the daughter of Aoki Kai-no-kami, whereupon
he was given the name Aoki Kogengō and served, but died of illness in Edo. Regarding his
ancestors, Kaneko Sakyōshin Masayoshi, a descendant of Kaneko Jūrō Minamoto no Ietada, eldest son of the Sasaki noble house,
died in battle with Naoe Mototsugu in the 18th year of Tenshō. His younger brother,
Kaneko Mino-no-kami <<Rokuemon's father, personal name unknown>>, after Sakyōshin's death in battle, controlled the house retainers and yoriki.
He was lord of Kaneko castle in Gunma district, Kōzuke province, with a domain of approximately 35,000 koku.
Letters from Uesugi Kagekatsu, Naoe Yamashiro-no-kami Kanetsugu, and others including Kunitsuna Yoshihisa Shigetsune and Nunozawa Kōzuke-no-suke Ujitoshi are preserved to this day. Rokuemon
