● 波々伯部靭負家繁（本国・生国共に丹波、姓は源、初名は十郎三郎、九兵衛）
先祖の往古のことは分からない。家繁の父は波々伯部権頭高家（号は一甫軒）、その子
家繁は権現様の御上洛の節に伏見においてお目見えを仰せ付けられ（その
節に真羽十尻を献上した）、御礼を申し上げたところ、召し出すべき旨の上意で御請け申し
上げ、お供を仕った。その後秀康公にお附けになられ、越前へお供を仕った。
忠直公御代の大坂両年の御陣で役を勤め、その節御馬廻諸士
一組分をお預けになられ相勤めた。その後添御城代役を仰せ付けられ、御代々
相勤め、光通公御代慶安三年（1650年、庚寅年）に至って行年九十七歳まで
相勤めた。嫡子兵三郎繁政という者は慶長五年（1600年、庚子年）関ヶ原
御合戦の時討死した。

The ancient affairs of ancestors are unknown. Ieshige's father was Hohokabe Gon-no-kami Takaiie (with the title Ippōken), and his son
Ieshige was granted an audience with Gongen-sama during his imperial visit to Kyoto at Fushimi (on that
occasion he presented ten bundles of true feathers), and when he expressed his gratitude, he received the lord's command to be summoned to service, accepted respectfully,
and served as an attendant. Later he was assigned to Lord Hideyasu and accompanied him to Echizen.
During Lord Tadanao's reign, he served in the two-year Osaka campaigns, and at that time was entrusted with
one unit of mounted retainers and served accordingly. Later he was appointed to the assistant castle warden role and served
through successive reigns until Lord Mitsumichi's reign, Keian 3 (1650, year of the Metal Tiger), serving until the age of ninety-seven.
His eldest son, called Heisaburō Shigemasa, died in battle during the Battle of Sekigahara in Keichō 5 (1600, year of the Metal Rat).
