現代語訳
【右丁】
この折から源頼光朝臣が四天王の面々を召し具して任国へ下向の際、この有様を御覧になり、凡人ではないことを知り給い、母を呼び出し、所望があればと言われたので、母は喜び、多年の心願が叶ったとお礼を申し上げ、懐道丸を教訓し忠義を尽くして仕えよと言い含めた。

〽もはや対面これが限り、随分達者で、さらば〳〵
〽母人いずくへ行き給う今
【左丁】
を尽くし仕えよと言い含め、もはやこの世に望みなし、頼光朝臣を見送り奉り、山また山に木隠れて行方も知らずなりにけり。
