差上申一札之事
一当村石切之儀村中不残取調書上仕候処
此外壱人も無御座候尤石切稼と罷出旅先
にて石切之弟子等召抱不申候猶又旅先実
体に相廻り可申候様具に申聞候処一々承知
仕奉得其意候若此上にも不吟味成義
有之後日被成御聞及候はゝ其御元ゟ早速
御注進可被成候其上如何様之御咎筋
被 仰付候共少も御恨無御座候為
後日連印証文仍而如件

提出申し上げる一札の件
一、当村の石切（石工）の件につきまして、村中残らず調査して書き上げて提出いたしましたところ、この他に一人もございません。もっとも、石切稼業として旅に出た先で石切の弟子等を雇い入れることはいたしません。なお、旅先での実情をよく見回って報告するように詳しく申し聞かせましたところ、一々承知いたし、その意を得ております。もしこの上にも調査不十分な件がございまして、後日お聞き及びになりましたら、その御元から早速御注進くださいますよう。その上でいかなる御咎めを仰せ付けられましても、少しも御恨みはございません。後日のため連印証文として、よって件のごとし。

Document Submitted Respectfully
Regarding the stone cutters in our village, we have investigated all persons in the village without exception and submitted our report. There are no other persons besides those listed. Furthermore, when they go on trips for stone cutting work, they do not employ stone cutting apprentices at their destinations. We have instructed them in detail to observe the actual conditions at their travel destinations and report back, and they have understood and accepted these instructions completely. Should there be any matters that were inadequately investigated and come to your attention later, please notify us immediately from your office. Even if any punishment should be imposed upon us thereafter, we harbor no resentment whatsoever. This joint sealed document is prepared for future reference. Thus recorded.
