【注：柱の字は、木へんに王の縦線が上に突き抜けた旁の文字で書けないため代用した。木目（跡目の洒落か）の意味で使われている。三蝶について書かれた資料で目へん＋木の字をあてるものがあるが、ここにはそういう文字は使われていない】
現代語訳
深山珠味橘盛（みやまにうましたちばなのさかり）
去（さんぬる）
金柑子とは唐木の一名。去年の実入りに旨味を締めた新左衛門は、深山の立木色事師の株を見抜いた十六兵衛が夢心。
雑（ざつ）
雌雄とは雌雄（めすおす）の一名。雌鶏が勧めた雄鶏の雑説に、羽音を立てかぬ高慢の根際、持ち前の役目をすぐに見て取った十六兵衛がうつつ心。
話（わ）
路傍に花咲く大木あり。お世話の「せ」の字に話あり。当てた自慢の重ね菊は、ませ返させる相談に、鳴神の仕打ちを直に十六兵衛が寝言。

Past (Sanuru)
Kinkanji is another name for Chinese wood. Shinzaemon, who captured the flavor in last year's harvest, represents Jūrokubeē's dream-mind who saw through the role of the standing tree love affair master in the deep mountains.
Miscellaneous (Zatsu)
Shiyū is another name for male and female. In the miscellaneous talk of the rooster recommended by the hen, at the base of arrogance that makes no wing sounds, Jūrokubeē's waking mind immediately discerned his natural duty.
Story (Wa)
There is a large flowering tree by the roadside. In the character "se" of "o-sewa" (care/help), there is a story. The layered chrysanthemums of his proud guess, in consultation to make them respond precociously, Jūrokubeē's sleep talk directly about Narukami's treatment.
