一　石切稼之者壱人茂無御座

差し上げ申し上げる一札の件

一、石切り稼業を行う者は一人もおりません
　　右の件につきましては、念入りに村中を一軒一軒取り調べいたしましたところ、少しも相違はございません。もしこの上にも調査不十分な事柄があって、後日お上のお耳に入ることがございましたら、そちら様から早速ご注意くださいませ。その上でどのようなお咎めをお申し付けになられましても、少しもお恨みいたしません。後日の証拠のための一札です。よって件のごとし。

Item: There is not a single person engaged in stone-cutting work in our village.

Regarding the above matter, we have carefully investigated every household in the village one by one, and there are absolutely no discrepancies in our findings. Should there be any matter we failed to investigate properly that later comes to the attention of the authorities, please notify us immediately from your end. Furthermore, whatever punishment may be imposed upon us, we harbor no resentment whatsoever. This document serves as evidence for posterity. Therefore, as stated above.
