櫻桃 由須良（ユヅラ）

和漢三才圖會山果類ニ曰
櫻桃（ユツラムメ） 鸎桃 含桃 荊桃
和名抄ニ云鸚實 宇久比須乃岐乃美
俗云 由須良梅
毛詩品物圖攷
鬱 ニワムメ〇ユツラムメニ當ル
予按ニ本草ニ訓ス由須良ト以山櫻桃ヲ
訓シ仁和左久羅ト或以訓ス仁和宇女ト
二物形状大ニ同小異ニ然モ種類相同シ
和名抄ニ鴬実ヲ以テ由須宇女ニ充ハ
誤也鴬實ハ吉利子ノ實也

櫻桃（ユスラウメ） 鴬桃 含桃 荊桃
『和名抄』に云う、鴬実 うくひすのきのみ
俗に云う ユスラ梅
『毛詩品物図考』
鬱 ニワウメ○ユスラウメに当たる
予按ずるに、『本草』にユスラと訓じ、山桜桃を以て
ニワサクラと訓じ、或いはニワウメと訓ずるを以てする。
二物は形状が大いに同じく小異なり。然れども種類は相同じ。
『和名抄』に鴬実を以てユスウメに充てるのは
誤りである。鴬実は吉利子の実である。

In the "Yamato Honzō" it states:
Cherry (Yusura)
(Yuzura)
In the "Wakan Sansai Zue," Mountain Fruits category, it states:
Cherry (Yusura-ume) Warbler peach Sweet cherry Thorn peach
The "Wamyōshō" states: Warbler fruit uguisu no ki no mi
Commonly called Yusura plum
"Mōshi Hinbutsu Zukō"
Utsu Garden plum ○ corresponds to Yusura-ume
In my opinion, the "Honzō" reads it as Yusura, and
reads mountain cherry as Niwazakura, or sometimes reads it as Niwa-ume.
These two plants have very similar forms with minor differences, yet their species are the same.
The "Wamyōshō's" use of warbler fruit to designate Yusu-ume is
erroneous. Warbler fruit is the fruit of Kirishi.
