やかてその日しよきやうてんへわたし参らする
くきやうてん上人こゝかしこにたゝすみていかな
る人のひめきみときゝ給ふととうの中将もろと
もにさゝやきあひけれともしりたる人もなしさ
てみかと御としこすよはおやのおもふ所あり
とてれいけいてんへ入せ給ひけれともしよきやう

うてんへいらせ給ふとてないしをめしてあまり
に此ひめきみのむつけさせ給ひてしほりもあへ

やがてその日、清涼殿へお渡し申し上げる。清涼殿の上人たちがあちらこちらにただ座っていて、「どのような人の姫君でしょうか」と聞きなさると、頭中将も一緒にささやき合ったけれども、知っている人もいない。さて帝は御年が若いので、親の思う所があるということで、麗景殿へお入りになったけれども、清涼殿でお休みになった。そして翌月、清涼殿へお入りになるということで、内侍を呼んで「あまりにもこの姫君を寵愛なさって、しおりもかなわず、人のためでもなく慰めを申し上げて、今日明日ばかりでなく、事を申しなだめ申し上げよ」と
