若年より御奉公相勤めた。ある時御陣刀の御柄を下され、これは大
将分の者が指すべきほどの御拵えであった《御柄頭に象の鼻有り》。以後一手の士の
大将にもなるようにとの思し召しで御祝いを下された旨の御意があり、拝
領したと申し伝えられている。今以て右の御柄を前持ちしている。正保二乙酉年（1645年）
忠昌公御逝去の節に殉死した。

Summoned during Lord Tadamasa's reign, Kan'ei 8, Kanoto-hitsuji year (1631)

Served faithfully from a young age. On one occasion, he was granted the hilt of a ceremonial sword, which was
of such fine craftsmanship that a general-class warrior should wield it《The pommel had an elephant's trunk》. Later, with the lord's intention that he should become
a commander of troops, he received celebratory gifts, and it is
transmitted that he received these with gratitude. He still possesses the aforementioned hilt. In Shōhō 2, Kinoto-tori year (1645),
he committed junshi (ritual suicide following his lord) upon Lord Tadamasa's death.
During Lord Mitsumichi's reign, Shōhō 2, Kinoto-tori year (1645), inherited the position
