治家六角家ニ属シ数軍功有之佐々木定頼以来代々感状
書簡等伝来仕候愛智川合戦ノ時敵首三級自身ノ高名入
実検候処ニ将軍義澄公御感有之其節御床机之辺茶園有

宇多天皇十一世の佐々木信綱の四男対馬守氏信の後裔である河瀬
左馬允高房は応永十八年（1411年）に江州犬上郡河瀬庄に新城を築いて
居住したので、これにより初めて称号を河瀬と改めた。往古より伝来の
系図を所持している。高房の四代の孫である江州河瀬の城主河瀬越前守
治家は六角家に属し数々の軍功があり、佐々木定頼以来代々感状や
書簡等が伝来している。愛智川合戦の時に敵の首三級を自身で討ち取る高名を挙げ、
実検を受けたところ、将軍義澄公の御感状があった。その節に御床机の辺りに茶園が
あり、御戯れにその茶の実を三つお取りになって、「今度の手柄の首数がこのように
これを家紋に付けよ」と言って下された。これにより子孫は今に至るまで三つ茶の実を
家紋にしている。その時の管領細川右京大夫政元からの感状も
伝来している。将軍家より新恩の地数ヶ所を下され、本領とともに三十

Kawase Samanosuke Takafusa, a descendant of Tsushima-no-kami Ujinobu, the fourth son of Sasaki Nobutsuna, who was eleven generations from Emperor Uda,
built a new castle in Kawase-no-shō, Inukami District, Gōshū in Ōei 18 (1411) and
resided there. Due to this, he first changed his title to Kawase. He possessed
genealogical records transmitted from ancient times. Kawase Echizen-no-kami
Ieka, the castle lord of Kawase in Gōshū and great-great-grandson of Takafusa, belonged to the Rokkaku family and had numerous military achievements. Letters of commendation and
correspondence have been transmitted from the time of Sasaki Sadayori onwards. During the Battle of Echi River, he achieved the distinguished feat of taking three enemy heads himself, and
when this was verified, Shogun Yoshizumi showed his appreciation. At that time, there was a tea garden near the shogun's camp stool,
and in jest he took three tea seeds and said, "The number of heads from this achievement is like this—
use this as your family crest," and granted them. Due to this, descendants have used three tea seeds as their
family crest to this day. A letter of commendation from Hosokawa Ukyō-no-dayū Masamoto, who was kanrei at that time, has also
