Thus, regarding the service of both men, it was stated that orders were given, and a copy of the said official words was bestowed upon them.
Also, a document sent from Lord Hyūga-no-kami's chief retainer Sugino Kazuma to Ōmiya Hikoemon regarding the service of both
men should still be in the possession of Amemori Giemon to this day.
The diagrams of Amakusa Castle and the attack positions and defensive formations, which were official drawings submitted to the shogunate, were copied transparently
and brought back, and the drawings shown to Lord Tadamasa are still in possession today.
Upon their return, both men were immediately granted new stipends of 150 koku each.

△ Matsuda
Summoned into service in Echizen during Lord Tadamasa's reign
● Matsuda Hanbei Yoshinao《Home province: Sagami, Birth province: Izumo, Surname: Fujiwara》
Great-grandfather Matsuda Sakon Hideichi, his son Horio Inaba Ujiyoshi, his son Matsuda Chūzaemon
Yoshisada all served through generations under three generations of the Horio family: Lord Horio Tachi, Lord Izumo-no-kami, and Lord Yamashiro-no-kami,
and resided in Unshū. When Lord Yamashiro-no-kami died without an heir and the Horio family
line was discontinued, Chūzaemon became a rōnin along with all the other retainers, left Unshū and died shortly thereafter.
He had many children, and they scattered to various places to make their own way, but Han-
bei Yoshinao was the youngest child and still young, so he lived in Kyoto under the care of a relative on his mother's side named Yamashita Dō-
ju. Among his relatives from Unshū who had been
summoned into service by our domain and were serving there—Hata Kyūemon, Itō Gentayū,
Matsuda Yaemon and others—sent word that he should come to this province.
So he came as a rōnin, and through the good offices of these men, he was
summoned into service.
