右馬亟十七歳之時下総国土浦ニテ合戦之時人数百人余
来候船ヲ鎗ニテ引寄相働候其節佐竹修理大夫殿ヨリ給
候感状並其時着用仕候具足鑓等于今所持仕候家之紋ハ
桔梗ニテ候処其日一ノ手柄ニテ候ニ付丸ニ一文字ノ紋
其節ヨリ付来リ候由申伝候最前多賀谷左近方ニ罷有候
左近家断絶以後右馬亟儀被及 聞食被召出後御旗奉行
其子忠助儀故有テ御暇被下ニ付右馬亟跡知嫡孫藤右衛
門ニ被下候処其孫文七郎代貞享三丙寅年一同之御暇被
下本家ハ断絶仕候

右馬亟が十七歳の時、下総国土浦にて合戦の際、百人余りが
乗った船を槍で引き寄せて働きを見せた。その節、佐竹修理大夫殿より賜った
感状並びにその時着用した具足・槍等を今も所持している。家の紋は
桔梗であったが、その日一番の手柄であったため、丸に一文字の紋を
その節より付けるようになったと申し伝えられている。最初は多賀谷左近の方に仕えていたが、
左近の家が断絶した後、右馬亟のことが聞こえて召し出され、後に御旗奉行となった。
その子忠助に事情があって御暇を下されたため、右馬亟の跡知を嫡孫の藤右衛
門に下されたが、その孫文七郎の代の貞享三年丙寅年（1686年）に一同の御暇を
下され、本家は断絶した。

When Uma-no-suke was seventeen years old, during a battle at Tsuchiura in Shimōsa Province, he used his spear to pull in a boat carrying over a hundred men and distinguished himself in battle. At that time, he received a commendation from Lord Satake Shuridayū, and he still possesses the armor, spear, and other equipment he wore that day. The family crest was originally bellflower, but because of his outstanding achievement that day, he began using the crest of a circle with a horizontal line from that time, as has been passed down. Initially he served under Tagaya Sakon, but after Sakon's house was abolished, Uma-no-suke's reputation came to be known and he was summoned, later becoming a banner magistrate. When his son Chūsuke was granted leave due to certain circumstances, Uma-no-suke's succession rights were granted to his legitimate grandson Tōzaemon, but during his grandson Bunshichirō's generation, in the 3rd year of Jōkyō, year of Fire Tiger (1686), they were all granted leave together and the main family line was abolished.
