一昨日、年寄衆連名之奉書到来ニ付、六ツ時
供揃ニ而服紗小袖・麻上下着用六半時西丸江登
城、大目付御目付江登 城いたし候、殿坊主衆
を以申達之、
一稽古寄候様、御目付ヨリ申来、大廊下江相廻り
御國際より御腰障子之方ニ後ニシテ着坐
御奏者番不残大目付衆御目付出席
順々稽古相済一旦引
一年寄衆登 城後御礼席江寄付様御目
付直達大廊下江寄罷在
但、御三家方御廻り之節、御時宜いたし候

十月十五日
一昨日、年寄衆連名の奉書が到来したので、六つ時に供揃えをして服紗小袖・麻上下を着用し、六時半に西丸へ登城した。大目付・御目付へ登城を報告し、殿坊主衆を通じて申し達した。
稽古に参加するよう御目付より申し来たので、大廊下へ回り、御国境より御腰障子の方を後ろにして着座した。御奏者番全員、大目付衆、御目付が出席し、順々に稽古を済ませ一旦退席した。
年寄衆登城後、御礼席へ寄るよう御目付から直接達しがあり、大廊下へ寄って控えていた。
ただし、御三家方がお回りの節は、御時宜を行った。

October 15th
The day before yesterday, a formal letter signed jointly by the council of elders arrived, so at the hour of the Rooster (6 PM) I prepared my retinue and wore court dress (fukusa kosode and hemp kamishimo), then proceeded to Nishinomaru at 6:30 PM. I reported my arrival to the senior inspectors and inspectors, conveying this through the lord's attendant monks.
The inspectors instructed me to participate in practice, so I went to the great corridor and took my seat with my back toward the folding screen from the domain area. All the ceremonial announcers, senior inspectors, and inspectors were present. We completed the practice in order and withdrew temporarily.
After the council of elders arrived at the castle, the inspectors directly instructed me to go to the formal greeting area, so I went to wait in the great corridor.
However, when the Three Branch Houses made their rounds, I performed the formal greetings.
