○内経（たいきやう）宝命全形篇（はうめいぜんきやうへんに）曰（いはく）天（てん）覆（おほひ）地（ち）載（のす）万物（ばんぶつ）悉（こと〳〵く）備（そなはれり）
人（ひと）より貴（たつとき）はなし人は天地（てんち）の気（き）を以（もつて）生（しやう）じ四時（しいし）の法（はふ）
成（なる）君王（くんわう）衆庶（しうしよ）尽（こと〳〵く）形（かたち）を全（まつたふ）せん事（こと）を欲（ほつす）と此（この）篇名（へんみやう）も
命（めい）を宝（たから）とし形（かたち）を全（まつたふ）する事をいへりされは天地（てんち）の
間（あひた）に人（ひと）より貴（たつとき）はなし其（その）貴人（たつときひと）の上（うへ）にては又（また）此（この）生命（せいめい）
より貴（たつとき）はなし凡（およそ）人事（じんじ）の至（いたり）て貴（たつとき）事（こと）は忠孝（ちうかう）より

○『黄帝内経』宝命全形篇に言う。「天は覆い地は載せ、万物ことごとく備わる。人より貴きはなし。人は天地の気をもって生じ、四時の法に従って成る。君王も庶民も、ことごとく形を全うすることを欲する」と。この篇名も、命を宝とし形を全うすることを言っている。されば天地の間に人より貴いものはない。その貴い人の上においては、また、この生命より貴いものはない。およそ人事において最も貴いことは忠孝より

○The "Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine," Chapter on Treasuring Life and Preserving Form, states: "Heaven covers and earth supports, all things are completely provided. Nothing is more precious than humans. Humans are born from the qi of heaven and earth, and develop according to the laws of the four seasons. Both rulers and common people all desire to preserve their bodily form completely." This chapter title also speaks of treasuring life and preserving bodily form. Therefore, nothing between heaven and earth is more precious than humans. And for these precious humans, nothing is more precious than this life itself.
