土井大炊頭様御前に召され、
御先代様の御勤めの件について御尋ねがあり、存じ寄りの
件を申し上げるようにと仰せ聞かされ、紙面にて申し上げたところ、
御懇切なお言葉を賜った
事
一 宝暦二年（1752年）正月、先達って御国目付衆が
御下向なされ御巡見の節、金山請負前の場所へ
罷り出て、品々御尋ねの件について御挨拶いたしたことにより、請負前の
件について精出して相勤めた段を仰せ出された事
一 同五年（1755年）十二月、病身に罷り成ったことにより辞職の
願いを申し上げたところ、保養いたして相勤めるよう
仰せ付けられた事
一 同六年（1756年）十一月、願いの通り当務御免を成され、
息子甚治が御番代を仰せ付けられた事
一 同七年（1757年）二月二十六日、六十六歳にて病死

He was summoned before Lord Doi Ōi-no-kami,
who inquired about his predecessor's service, and was told to submit
his thoughts on the matter. When he submitted his response in writing,
he received gracious words from his lordship.
- In the 1st month of Hōreki 2 (1752), when the domain inspectors had
previously come down and conducted their inspection tour, he went out to the gold mine contracting site
and responded to various inquiries with proper greetings. For this, he was commended for
his diligent service in contracting matters.
- In the 12th month of Hōreki 5 (1755), having fallen ill,
he submitted a petition to resign, but was ordered
to recuperate and continue his service.
- In the 11th month of Hōreki 6 (1756), as requested, he was relieved of his current duties,
and his son Jinji was appointed as his replacement in guard duty.
- On the 26th day of the 2nd month of Hōreki 7 (1757), he died of illness at the age of sixty-six.
Buddhist name: Shingyōin Gen'jō Nichigi, buried at Hōshōzan Jōkōji Temple.
