（前ページより続き）……極の業も修めていたことにより、小普請料が免除され、出勤を仰せ付けられ、御城御番を勤めた。
一、同年九月、追鳥狩の節に罷り出た。
但し、この後、馬ならしとともに四度罷り出た。
一、同年十一月、当（この度の）追鳥狩の節において、足並みの調子など一体となって連携し、進退・手の都合まで宜しく整っていた段（ありさま）は、かねてより出精（精励）していたゆえのことであると思し召された旨により、組一同が御称美を賜った。
但し、この後、毎度御称美を賜った。
一、享和二戌年五月、頭（組頭）の春日仁左衛門が隠居したため、跡の御役（後任の組）は高橋与五郎組となった。
一、文化四卯年二月、御家中御免山の締まり方の御用を仰せ付けられた。
一、同五辰年十二月、御家中御免山の締まり方を仰せ付けられ、場所々々へ出役し、格別の締まりにもなった由（とのことで）、臨時の御用に出精して勤めたことにより、御酒を下し置かれた。

(Continued from the previous page)… Having attained the highest level of martial arts proficiency, [Naomichi] was exempted from paying the kozampkin-ryō (small fief fee) and was ordered to report for active duty, serving as a guard at the castle.
Item: In the 9th month of the same year, he appeared (turned out) for the toritoi-gari (a hunting exercise).
Note: After this, he turned out four times for this event, including for horse training.
Item: In the 11th month of the same year, during that hunting exercise, the coordination of marching in formation, the unity of action, and the management of maneuvers were all in excellent order. It was recognized as being the result of his prior diligent efforts, and accordingly the entire unit received commendation.
Note: After this, they received commendation on every subsequent occasion.
Item: In the 5th month of Kyōwa 2, the Year of the Dog, as the unit commander (kumi-gashira) Kasuga Ninzaemon retired, the successor unit became that of Takahashi Yogorō.
Item: In the 2nd month of Bunka 4, the Year of the Rabbit, [Naomichi] was ordered to carry out duties related to the management of the closure of the domain's restricted hunting grounds (go-kachū go-men-yama).
Item: In the 12th month of the same [Bunka] 5, the Year of the Dragon, he was ordered to manage the closure of the domain's restricted hunting grounds; he performed inspections at various locations, and it was reported that the closures were handled in an exceptionally thorough manner. For his diligent service in these ad hoc duties, he was granted sake (rice wine) as a reward.
