現代語訳
・同十年（文化十年）酉年六月、町田八郎左衛門が相州（相模国）常詰を仰せ付けられたことによる後任として、銃術師範を仰せ付けられた。
・同年十二月、持席のまま御代官を仰せ付けられた。
・同月、見禰山御普請にあたり、諸材木の取り出し方に精を出して勤めた段を仰せ出された。
・同十四年（文化十四年）丑年三月、両務（二つの役職）を相勤め、町蔵（藩の蔵）の管理・居住の業務、ならびに前年中の臨時の御用においても格別に勤労に励んだことにより、御褒美として麻御上下の代わりに晒し一反を下し置かれた。
・文政元年（1818年）寅年八月、門弟とともに火術（砲術・銃術）の御上覧（藩主の御覧）が催された際、自身ならびに弟子中の火術が見事であった段を仰せ出された。
但し、この後さらに二度御上覧に罷り出て、毎度御賞美を成し下された。
・同四年（文政四年）巳年十二月、願いの通り当務（現任の職務）を御免になり、外様組付を仰せ付けられ、小原（以下次頁へ続く）

- In the sixth month of the tenth year (Bunka 10, Year of the Rooster, 1813), following Machida Hachirozaemon's appointment to permanent duty in Sōshū (Sagami Province), he was appointed as instructor of gunnery (*jūjutsu shihan*) in Machida's place.
- In the twelfth month of the same year (Bunka 10), he was appointed district magistrate (*o-daikan*) while retaining his existing seat (*mochi-seki*).
- In the same month, it was declared that he had applied himself with great diligence to the extraction and handling of various timbers for the construction works at Mount Mine (*Mine-yama go-fushin*).
- In the third month of Bunka 14 (Year of the Ox, 1817), having fulfilled two concurrent posts and managed the domain warehouse (*machi-gura*) and its residential duties, and having applied himself with particular diligence to various extraordinary duties throughout the previous year, he was granted one *tan* of bleached cloth (*sarashi*) in lieu of a formal hemp ceremonial vest and hakama (*asa o-kamishimo*) as a reward.
- In the eighth month of Bunsei 1 (Year of the Tiger, 1818), when a demonstration of firearms (*kajutsu go-ichiran*) before the domain lord was held together with his disciples, it was declared that both he himself and his disciples had performed their gunnery with excellence.
Note: After this, he appeared before the lord on two further occasions, and each time he received commendation (*go-shōbi*).
