One entry: In the same [Shōtoku] 4th year [Year of the Horse, 1714], on the twenty-fourth day of the fourth month, he died of illness at the age of sixty-six. His posthumous Buddhist name (hōmyō) was Shin'an Juden Koji. His place of burial is the same as above.

One entry: In the third month of Enpō 4th year [Year of the Dragon, 1676], he was granted a stipend of ten koku and support for two persons (ninin-fuchi), was summoned into service, and it was proclaimed that he should henceforth devote himself diligently to the practice of martial arts.
Note: He was engaged in dedicated practice of archery in the Dōsetsu school (Dōsetsu-ryū sha-gei).
