一、同七年(未年)七月、頭の西郷源蔵が病死につき、跡の御役として武川五十郎組に相成った。
一、同八年(申年)三月、若年寄附外様士を仰せ付けられた。
一、同年十二月、安光流剣術締り方兼務を仰せ付けられた。
一、寛政元年(酉年)十一月、願いの通り剣術締り方兼務を御免なされた。
一、同年六月、若年寄組を相止められるにつき、元の組へ相返される旨を仰せ出され、日向三郎右衛門組に罷り成った。
一、寛政三年(亥年)七月、不都合の義ども有之由、病気と相聞こえる間、同姓ならびに親類どもへ御預け置かれ、きっと外出を差し留め、決して出走りのような様子の義が無いよう療養に加え試みた上で、追って申し出るよう、右の一類どもへ申し聞かすべき旨を、頭の日向三郎右衛門へ仰せ聞かされた。
一、同五年(丑年)六月、病気いよいよ快方に向かい、平生の体に相見える由、委曲一類どもより申し出た。勇助の儀、同姓ならびに親類どもへ御預け置かれていたにつきては、一同申し合わせ順番を立て昼夜(交代で見守るよう、続く)

One entry: In the seventh month of the same 7th year [Year of the Ram, 1787], the unit commander (kashira) Saigō Genzō died of illness, and he was consequently reassigned to the unit of Bukawa Gojūrō as the successor unit assignment.
One entry: In the third month of the same 8th year [Year of the Monkey, 1788], he was appointed as an tozama-shi (outer-rank samurai) attached to the wakadoshiyori (junior elders).
One entry: In the twelfth month of the same year, he was additionally appointed to the concurrent post of supervisor (shimari-kata) of the Ankō-ryū school of swordsmanship.
One entry: In the eleventh month of the 1st year of Kansei [Year of the Rooster, 1789], in accordance with his petition, he was relieved of his concurrent post as supervisor of swordsmanship.

One entry: In the seventh month of the 3rd year of Kansei [Year of the Boar, 1791], it was reported that certain improper matters had occurred, and as he was said to be suffering from illness, he was placed in the custody of his clansmen and relatives. They were firmly ordered to restrict his going out, to ensure that there was absolutely no sign of him attempting to flee, to add medical treatment to their oversight, and after observing his condition, to report back in due course — this was conveyed to the unit commander Hinata Saburōemon, to be communicated to all of the said relatives.
