荘右衛門安荘 《割書:初源吉|享保廿卯年四月十三日誕生》  実小嶋近左衛門春門二男  妻養父庄兵衛安利女《割書:延享三寅年四月十二日誕生文|化十四丑年五月朔日七拾二歳|ニ而病死法名清蓮院縁衣妙|光大姉葬所同上》 一宝暦十辰年八月於江戸表御用所当  座御雇仮役被 仰付翌巳二月迄相  勤候事 一同十一巳年五月御用所当座御雇相  勤候内御婚礼御用幷 御上京御用調  精出相勤候ニ付為御褒美金五百疋  被下置候事 一同年七月親願之通  宣明院様御懐守勤自力を以相勤  候様被 仰付候   但右ニ付熨斗目着用被成御免候   事 一同年十二月精出相勤候ニ付御内々  金三百疋被下置候事

現代語訳

**荘右衛門安荘** (初名:源吉、享保二十卯年〔1735〕四月十三日誕生)  実父:小嶋近左衛門春門の二男  妻:養父庄兵衛安利の娘 (延享三寅年〔1746〕四月十二日誕生。文化十四丑年〔1817〕五月朔日、七十二歳にて病死。法名:清蓮院縁衣妙光大姉。葬所:同上。) 一、宝暦十辰年(1760)八月 江戸表の御用所において、当座御雇仮役を仰せ付けられ、翌巳年(1761)二月まで相勤めた。 一、同十一巳年(1761)五月 御用所の当座御雇として相勤めるうちに、御婚礼御用ならびに御上京御用の調達を出精よく相勤めたことにつき、御褒美として金五百疋を下し置かれた。 一、同年七月 親の願いの通り、宣明院様の御懐守を勤め、自力をもって相勤めるよう仰せ付けられた。   ただし、右につき熨斗目着用を御免なされた。 一、同年十二月 出精よく相勤めたことにつき、御内々にて金三百疋を下し置かれた。

**Shōemon Yasumasa** (childhood name: Genkichi; born on the thirteenth day of the fourth month of Kyōhō 20, Year of the Rabbit [1735]) Biological father: second son of Kojima Kinzaemon Harukado Wife: daughter of adoptive father Shōbei Yasutoshi (born on the twelfth day of the fourth month of Enkyō 3, Year of the Tiger [1746]; died of illness on the first day of the fifth month of Bunka 14, Year of the Ox [1817], at the age of seventy-two. Posthumous Buddhist name: Seiren'in Enni Myōkō Daishi. Place of burial: same as above.) 1. In the tenth year of Hōreki, Year of the Dragon (1760), eighth month: He was appointed to a temporary hired position (tōza o-yatoi karitaku) at the御用所 (o-yōsho, administrative office) in Edo, and served until the second month of the following Year of the Snake (1761). 2. In the eleventh year of Hōreki, Year of the Snake (1761), fifth month: While serving as a temporary hire at the administrative office, he diligently performed duties related to the wedding ceremony preparations (go-konrei go-yō) as well as the arrangements for the journey to Kyoto (go-jōkyō go-yō). In recognition of his exemplary service, he was awarded five hundred hiki in gold as a commendation. 3. In the same year, seventh month: In accordance with his father's petition, he was appointed to serve as御懐守 (o-futokoro-mori, personal attendant/guardian) to Lady Senmeiin, and was instructed to fulfill this role through his own efforts.   Note: In connection with the above, he was granted permission to wear noshime (a type of formal patterned silk garment). 4. In the same year, twelfth month: In recognition of his diligent service, he was privately awarded three hundred hiki in gold.
