右の願書に末書きと印鑑を押して同月十五日に御役所へ提出いたしました。同月二十二日に御許可をいただいた旨、幾右衛門を呼んで申し渡されました。

恐れながら書付をもって願い上げます
私は今まで左官の職業に従事しておりましたが、今年から御普請方（公共工事部門）で年に三日ずつ役目を勤め、職分を全うしたく存じます。つきましてはお願い申し上げます。
右の趣旨について、御慈悲をもってお願い申し上げます通りにお命じいただけましたなら、ありがたい仕合わせと存じます。以上

I have been working as a plasterer (sakan) until now, but from this year forward, I would like to serve in the Public Works Department (ofushin-kata) for three days each year and fulfill my professional duties. Therefore, I humbly submit this petition.
Regarding the above matter, if you would graciously grant my request as petitioned, it would be a most grateful fortune. The above stated.
