差上申一札之事
一当村石切之儀村中不残取調書上仕候処此外壱人
も無御座候尤石切稼に罷出旅先にて石切弟子召抱
申間敷候猶又商売先実体相廻可申候様具に申
聞候処一々承知仕奉得其意候若此上にも不吟味
成儀有之候て後日に被成御聞及候ハヽ其元より
早速御注進可被成候其上如何様之御咎筋被
仰付候共少も御恨無御座候為後日連印仍て

差し上げ申す一札の件
一、当村の石切の件につき、村中残らず取り調べ書き上げ致しましたところ、この他一人もございません。もっとも石切稼ぎに出向いた旅先にて石切の弟子を召し抱えることはいたしません。なお、また商売先の実情について回って申すよう詳しく申し聞かせましたところ、一々承知いたし、その意を得ております。もしこの上にも不注意な事があって後日に御聞き及びになりましたら、その元より早速御注進なさるよう、その上でいかような御咎めを仰せ付けられましても少しも御恨みはございません。後日のため連印いたします。よって件の如し。

A Written Pledge Submitted
Regarding the matter of stonecutters in our village, we have investigated and recorded everyone in the village without exception, and there are no others besides those listed. Furthermore, when going out to work as stonecutters in distant places, we shall not take on stonecutter apprentices. Moreover, we have thoroughly instructed them to report on the actual conditions at their places of business, and they have understood and accepted these instructions completely. If there should be any negligent matters beyond this that come to your attention in the future, please immediately report from your end, and whatever punishment may be imposed upon us, we harbor no resentment whatsoever. We affix our joint seals for future reference. Thus stated.
