大君、且つ 大納言殿を奉祝し、その暇を賜って遂に帰国する時に音物を遣わされた。足下はその厚 情を感じて、謝辱の使者読谷山王子を薩州に渡来させた趣を、 薩摩守が具に演説され、 上聞に達したところ、 喜色があった。遐想を安んじられよ。また我が済の贈った菲物を謝されたのは慇 懃の至りではないか。今また土宜両種を寄せられ、収納して怡悦している。その他のことは 薩摩守に告諭させる。恐々不宣            若狭少将             酒井讃岐守忠勝  正保二年九月日       回復  中山王 仲春十八日の雲桟を、頃日松平薩摩守より伝達され、披 読して欣々たり。来旨の如く、去夏 貴国の貢使金武・国頭が江戸に到着し、我が 大君に拝謁し、且つ 大納言殿を奉慶した。その暇を賜って帰国する時に音物を遣わされた。足下はその懇情を感じて、 拝辱の使者読谷山王子を今薩州に渡来させた趣を、薩 摩守が具に披演述し、即座に 上聞に達したところ、

Great Lord, and furthermore offered congratulations to His Excellency the Dainagon. When they were granted leave and finally returned to their country, gifts were bestowed upon them. Your Excellency, feeling gratitude for such kind sentiment, sent the envoy of appreciation, Prince Yomitanzan, to come to Satsuma Province. Satsuma-no-kami reported this matter in detail and brought it to the august attention, resulting in expressions of joy. You may rest assured regarding distant concerns. Moreover, your expression of gratitude for the humble gifts that we presented - is this not the utmost sin- cerity? Now you have also sent two kinds of local products, which we have received with great pleasure. Other matters will be communicated through Satsuma-no-kami.
