　に而成敗被成候落人之内山田右衛門作御助被
　成松平伊豆守様被召江戸江参候松倉長門
　守殿ゟ口津に被差置候蔵奉行三宅次郎左衛門
　与申者之子半三郎与申者兄弟三人大原治兵衛
　子熊之助此四人黒田右衛門佐殿被召連筑前
　江参候事
又曰原城落人之内小浜村庄屋才助三会村金
　作有家村甚吉此三人者島原に而竹鋸引に被成
　候此者共御惜之故は三会村に而侍を殺し小浜
　に而代官を殺し申候に付如斯被成候事

西村五兵衛覚書曰二月廿八日四過三浦市之丞大
　手之門左之塀を乗込み討死仕候家来之者小屋に
　人呼に参候を見掛相尋承之内匠に右之通申
　聞死躰取に私罷越度与申候得共曽而無用
　之由申に付罷越候儀不罷成米倉弥七左衛門に自
　分之家来両人相待死骸取候而参候得与申付
　指越候弥七左衛門早速罷帰矢繁所に而中々寄
　付不被申由申候落城已後死骸取申候具足
　筥之内に書置仕討死之覚悟に而罷出候事
又曰若き者壱人柿染之着物に而青き股引を

現代語訳

において成敗されました。落人の内、山田右衛門作は御助命され、松平伊豆守様に召し抱えられて江戸へ参りました。松倉長門守殿から口津に差し置かれていた蔵奉行三宅次郎左衛門という者の子の半三郎という者、兄弟三人、大原治兵衛の子の熊之助、この四人を黒田右衛門佐殿が召し連れて筑前へ参りました。

また曰く、原城落人の内、小浜村庄屋才助、三会村金作、有家村甚吉、この三人は島原において竹鋸引きに処されました。この者共が惜しまれた理由は、三会村において侍を殺し、小浜において代官を殺したことに付き、このように処されたのです。

西村五兵衛の覚書に曰く、二月二十八日四つ過ぎ、三浦市之丞が大手の門左の塀を乗り越えて討死しました。家来の者が小屋に人を呼びに参ったのを見かけ、相尋ねて承ったところ、内匠に右の通り申し聞かせ、死体を取りに私が罷り越したいと申しましたが、全く無用である旨を申すに付き、罷り越すことができませんでした。米倉弥七左衛門に自分の家来両人を相待たせ、死骸を取って参るようにと申し付けて差し越しました。弥七左衛門は早速罷り帰り、矢の激しい所で中々寄り付くことができない旨を申しました。落城已後に死骸を取り申し、具足箱の内に書置きをして討死の覚悟で罷り出たことがわかりました。

were executed. Among the survivors, Yamada Uemonnosaku was spared and taken into service by Lord Matsudaira Izu-no-kami, going to Edo. Four people were taken by Lord Kuroda Uemonnosuke to Chikuzen: Hanzaburō (son of Miyake Jirōzaemon, a warehouse magistrate who had been stationed at Kuchinotsu by Lord Matsuura Nagato-no-kami), his three brothers, and Kumanosuke (son of Ōhara Jihei).

It also states that among the survivors of Hara Castle, three men - Saisuke (village headman of Obama village), Kinsaku of Sankai village, and Jinkichi of Ariya village - were executed by bamboo saw in Shimabara. The reason these men were executed was that they had killed a samurai in Sankai village and killed a magistrate in Obama, so they were punished in this manner.

According to the memorandum by Nishimura Gohei, on the twenty-eighth day of the second month, after the fourth hour, Miura Ichinosuke climbed over the left wall of the main gate and died in battle. When a retainer came to the hut to call for people, I noticed and inquired about it. When I told Takumi about this and said I would like to go retrieve the body, he said it was completely unnecessary, so I could not go. I ordered Yonekura Yashichizaemon to take two of my own retainers and retrieve the corpse, sending them over. Yashichizaemon quickly returned and said that it was a place with heavy arrow fire and they could not approach at all. After the castle fell, when we retrieved the body, we found a written note in his armor box showing that he had gone out with the resolve to die in battle.
