　偖本丸江何連も早く乗込候中に一番益田弥
　市右衛門岡本伝十郎続而乗込足軽者山田太

　乗込火を附ん亦弥市右衛門与一度に歩小姓

　都合太兵衛後藤権兵衛池永源太輔此者共乗
　込也蓮池之上手ゟ海手桝形之間迄早く乗者
　速水市郎兵衛津田四郎右衛門川喜多九太輔
　山田新九郎此者共也其外大形同時に乗込扨
　本丸数軒焼立る故に強を奥迄一度押込候儀
　火之内に者不成して本丸半分東之海手迄乗
　取り九曜之昇を入る焼口に大柵を付則其夜
　本丸に備を立柵外江人数を出し火之明内は
　徒党と母切弃也

さて本丸へ何連も早く乗り込んだ中に、一番は益田弥市右衛門、岡本伝十郎が続いて乗り込み、足軽では山田太兵衛、平井甚兵衛、岩尾数右衛門、斎藤少蔵などが乗り込んで火を付けた。また弥市右衛門とともに一度に歩小姓

都合太兵衛、後藤権兵衛、池永源太輔、この者共が乗り込んだ。蓮池の上手より海手桝形の間まで早く乗った者は、速水市郎兵衛、津田四郎右衛門、川喜多九太輔、山田新九郎、この者共である。その外大方同時に乗り込んだ。さて本丸数軒が焼け立ったので、強者を奥まで一度に押し込もうとしたが、火の中では成らなくて、本丸半分東の海手まで乗り取り、九曜の昇を入れる。焼け口に大柵を付け、すぐその夜本丸に備えを立て、柵外へ人数を出し、火の明かりの内は徒党ともども切り捨てた。

Now, among those who quickly stormed into the main bailey in multiple waves, the first were Masuda Yaichirōemon and Okamoto Denjūrō who charged in consecutively. They erected large palisades at the burned entrance, immediately established defenses in the main bailey that night, deployed troops outside the palisades, and cut down both rebels and anyone else within the firelight.
