　五間にして火矢一つに而焼立る御両所共に気味
　能事に候由御挨拶有り之扨其家尓て四郎か
　首陣左衛門討取之今日亥之刻悉本丸迄責
　平け寄手之軍勢一同に勝凱を止る忠利公人

島原征伐始末別記曰二月廿八日細川越中守忠
　利家来陣佐左衛門俄魁天草四郎を討取申候
　右有馬表之様子木形絵図に仕差上申候
有馬譜曰二月廿八日忠郷歟各殊に多く首を討
　取戦死す此日城遂に落忠郷直に江戸に至る

鍋島家書上曰二月廿八日諸手一同に詰之丸責落
　候此時一揆之頭天草四郎歟旗を家来鍋島
　大膳与申者切取申候右両人信濃守手戦死手
　負扨又落城之日迄仕寄場に而戦死手負共都
　而九百八拾九人　又矢合より落　迄舩手に而
　戦死拾七人

五間の距離から火矢一本で焼き立てたところ、御両所とも気味よいことであると御挨拶があった。さて、その家で四郎の首を陣左衛門が討ち取った。今日亥の刻にすべて本丸まで攻め平らげ、寄せ手の軍勢一同に勝鬨を上げた。忠利公は人数を入れた。

島原征伐始末別記によると、二月二十八日、細川越中守忠利の家来陣佐左衛門が賊魁天草四郎を討ち取った。右の有馬表の様子を木形絵図にして差し上げた。

有馬譜によると、二月二十八日、忠郷らがそれぞれ特に多く首を討ち取り戦死した。この日城がついに落城し、忠郷は直ちに江戸に至った。

仰せに与って改めて中務少輔と号し、旧名多類を用いた故である。

鍋島家書上によると、二月二十八日、諸手一同に詰めの丸を攻め落とした。この時一揆の頭天草四郎の旗を家来鍋島大膳という者が切り取った。右両人は信濃守の手で戦死・手負い。また落城の日まで仕寄場で戦死・手負い合わせて九百八十九人。また矢合いより落城まで船手で戦死十七人。
