現代語訳
鎌先の谷は以前遊んだ地で、再び来てみると興味は尽きない。山の宿場はみな若葉に覆われ、林の木々はすべて新しい花を咲かせている。蕨を採る人が料理を供し、薪を足して自ら茶を煮る。病気の苦しみを忘れることはできないが、霞の中に身を横たえることができるのを喜んでいる。

温泉は幽谷の奥にあり、茅葺きの家が険しい岩に寄り添っている。滝が落ちる音は常に雨のように聞こえ、風が回ると自然に塵を払い除ける。珍しい鳥が鳴いて友となり、遠方からの客が語り合って親しくなる。古い汚れはすべて消え去り、たちまち気分も新たになるのを覚える。

温泉 赤木長玄珠拝
幽谷の温泉は日夜薫り立ち、音は玉を身に帯びたようで、気は霧のように立ち上る。波を押し返し、数限りない灰が湧き出るように見える。裸体で移り住む人々が群れをなす。誰が水の性質を理解し、心を寛やかにして塵や汚れを洗い清めようとするのか。その由来を実際に験して知るべきである。華書（中国の書）と梵天（仏典）に記載されているとおりである。
鎌先温泉に浴して傷病が既に癒え、病気も甚だしく回復した
鎌先の峰の下で温泉に浴し、なぜか両方を得ることができた。前の病が治った時に後の病が生じ、昔の愁いが除かれた日に今の愁いが生まれる。その間は静寂で淡々とし、山は深く静かで、煩わしい喧騒から離れている。男女が遊びに来るが、結局人間には多くの苦しみがある。ここでは悠然として何にも繋がれない一艘の空の舟のようである。

山の霊が護り、身を高く支え、脚の疾患も完全に治り、気力もなお盛んである。どうして帰路を厭おうか、三百里を奔走して、直ちに故郷の蓬や蒿の生い茂る地へ向かおう。

The valley of Kamasaki is a place I visited before, and coming here again, my interest knows no bounds. All the mountain inns are covered with fresh green leaves, and every tree in the forest blooms with new flowers. People gathering bracken provide meals, adding firewood and brewing tea themselves. Though I cannot forget the suffering of illness, I rejoice in being able to rest among the mists.

The hot spring lies deep in a secluded valley, with thatched houses leaning against craggy rocks. The sound of waterfalls constantly resembles rain, and when wind swirls, it naturally sweeps away dust. Rare birds sing as companions, and distant travelers converse intimately. All old stains are completely washed away, and one immediately feels renewed in spirit.

Hot Spring - Respectfully by Akagi Chōgen-shu
In the secluded valley, the hot spring steams day and night, its sound like jade ornaments, its vapors rising like mist. It pushes back waves, and countless ashes seem to bubble up. Naked people migrate and form groups. Who understands the nature of water and seeks to broaden the heart and cleanse away dust and impurities? One should actually experience and understand its origins. It is recorded in Chinese texts and Buddhist scriptures.
Bathing in Kamasaki Hot Spring, injuries and illnesses have healed, and ailments have greatly recovered
Bathing in the warm waters below Kamasaki peak, somehow I was able to achieve both benefits. When the previous illness was cured, a later illness arose; on the day old sorrows were removed, new sorrows were born. In between is quietude and simplicity; the mountains are deep and tranquil, away from troublesome clamor. Men and women come to visit, but ultimately human life contains much suffering. Here one is like an unmoored empty boat, serene and unattached.

The mountain spirits protect and support my body on high; leg ailments are completely healed, and my vitality remains vigorous. Why should I dislike the homeward journey? I'll rush three hundred ri and head directly toward the mugwort and artemisia of my homeland.
