迎年菊（カウネンギク） 予曰 此者前條載真￣ノ冬菊￣ト
異也其花薫秋菊￣ノ如＿レ
形（サマ）￣ノ不＿レ非＿二寒菊￣ノ種￣ニ＿一至￣テ＿レ冬￣ニ
花開￣ク故￣ニ冬菊￣ト云不審又
有＿二白色￣ノ者＿一
戌子霜月十有六日送
妍芳子一枝写照

海榴茶 ハヒスケ￣ト云
戊子黄鐘廿有三日

現代語訳
【右丁】
台湾府志に曰く
迎年菊（こうねんぎく） 私が言うには、これは前条に記載した真の冬菊とは
異なるものである。その花の香りは秋菊のようで、
形（様子）は寒菊の種類でないわけではない。冬に至って
花が開くので冬菊と言うのは疑問である。また
白色のものもある。
戌子年霜月十六日に送られた
妍芳子の一枝を写し取った

海榴茶 ハヒスケと言う
戊子年黄鐘（十一月）二十三日

The Taiwan Prefecture Gazetteer states:
Geinen-giku (New Year Chrysanthemum) I say that this is different from
the true winter chrysanthemum recorded in the previous section.
Its flower fragrance is like that of autumn chrysanthemums,
and its form is not unlike that of cold chrysanthemums. Since
it blooms in winter, calling it a winter chrysanthemum is questionable.
There are also white varieties.
