阿波守殿へ御預け。二歳の男子は御成敗なり。
同年五月、高野山の行人方と聖方の出入りにつき御詮議を遂げられ、静まって双方へ御老中連印の下知状を出し、行人方を聖方の支配頭に仰せ付けられた。
同年五月十七日、築土明神坂下にて仇討ちあり。討たれた者は沢岡藤右衛門(五十三歳)。藤右衛門は以前北条出羽守殿に小知行取りとして仕えていた。その後浪人となった。討った者は古沢忠次郎(二十三歳)。古沢兵左衛門は本多越中守殿に小知行取りとして仕えていたが、その後牢人となり遠州山科村に住んでいた。兵左衛門の女房の弟は古沢市左衛門(五十歳の内)。六年前の亥三月十六日夜、藤右衛門が兵左衛門方へ夜討ちに入り、兵左衛門夫婦・惣領安兵衛並びに下人二人を切り殺して立ち退いたという。築土明神坂下にて両方から立ち挟み討ち留めて引き取ろうとしたところ、所の者が出会って留めようとしたが、仇討ちにて公儀の御帳に付け申すと相断り、旗本衆へ立ち退いた。
同年六月十九日、伊勢外宮正殿の千木が顛倒したという奏聞により、まず別殿に移し奉り、その後修復させて先規の如くすべきという沙汰の旨、叡慮の旨を伝奏衆より言上し、右を上聴に達したところ、万端先規の通りにあらざるの由仰せ出された。
同年七月、絹・紬・木綿・布一反の丈尺が仰せ出された。絹・紬一反三丈四尺(幅一尺四寸)、布・木綿一反三丈四尺(幅一尺三寸)。右は大工の曲尺の積もりなり。
一 寛文四年六月、上杉播磨守殿跡式三十万石の内、米沢領十五万石を養子三郎殿へ下され、減少なり。右三郎殿は吉良上野介殿の息なり。右の趣を吉良若狭守殿・上野介殿並びに播州家老(中條越前・千坂兵部)、播州家老ども(深松伊右衛門・安田兵庫)へ仰せ渡された。
一 寛文五年、奥津妙覚寺・雑司ヶ谷法妙寺が京極百介殿へ御預け。不受不施の派を立てたにつき御詮議の上御預けなり。(同年十二月二十七日、越後高田大地震)
同年正月二日・三日、大坂甚だしい雷。二日戌刻、天守一重目へ雷が落ち、右残り焼失。同六日江戸注進。

Same year, 5th month: Regarding the dispute between the Gyōnin faction and the Hijiri faction at Mount Kōya, an investigation was conducted and the matter was settled. A directive bearing the joint seals of the Senior Councilors was issued to both parties, placing the Gyōnin faction under the authority of the Hijiri faction.
Same year, 5th month, 17th day: A vendetta killing occurred at the foot of Tsukudo Myōjin slope. The victim was Sawaoka Tōemon (age 53). Tōemon had previously served Lord Hōjō Dewa-no-kami as a low-ranking stipend holder, but later became a masterless samurai. The killer was Furusawa Chūjirō (age 23). Furusawa Heizaemon had served Lord Honda Etchū-no-kami as a low-ranking stipend holder but later became a rōnin and lived in Yamashina village in Enshū Province. Heizaemon's wife's younger brother was Furusawa Ichizaemon (around 50 years old). Six years earlier, on the night of the 16th day of the 3rd month in the year of the Boar, Tōemon had conducted a night attack on Heizaemon's residence, killing Heizaemon and his wife, their eldest son Yahei, and two servants before withdrawing. At the foot of Tsukudo Myōjin slope, when both sides confronted each other and tried to restrain the situation, local residents intervened to stop them. However, declaring this was a vendetta to be recorded in the government registers, [the avengers] withdrew toward the hatamoto residences.
Same year, 6th month, 19th day: It was reported that the chigi (ornamental roof finials) of the main hall of Ise Outer Shrine had fallen over. First, [the sacred objects] were moved to an auxiliary building, after which repairs were to be made and everything restored to its former state according to imperial will, as conveyed by the court liaison officials to the imperial audience. It was decreed that all matters should not proceed according to former precedents.
Same year, 7th month: The length measurements for one tan of silk, pongee, cotton, and cloth were decreed. Silk and pongee: one tan = 3 jō 4 shaku (width: 1 shaku 4 sun). Cloth and cotton: one tan = 3 jō 4 shaku (width: 1 shaku 3 sun). These are calculations using carpenters' curved rulers.
1. Kanbun 4 (1664), 6th month: From Lord Uesugi Harima-no-kami's former domain of 300,000 koku, the Yonezawa domain of 150,000 koku was granted to his adopted son Saburō, representing a reduction. This Saburō was the son of Lord Kira Kōzuke-no-suke. This matter was communicated to Lords Kira Wakasa-no-kami and Kōzuke-no-suke, as well as to the Banshū domain's chief retainers (Chūjō Echizen, Chisaka Hyōbu) and other Banshū chief retainers (Fukamatsu Iemon, Yasuda Hyōgo).
1. Kanbun 5 (1665): Okutsu Myōkakuji and Zōshigaya Hōmyōji temples were placed under the custody of Lord Kyōgoku Hyakusuke for establishing the Fuju-fuse sect. This custody was decided after deliberation. (Same year, 12th month, 27th day: Great earthquake in Takada, Echigo Province)
Same year, 1st month, 2nd and 3rd days: Severe thunderstorms in Osaka. On the 2nd day at the hour of the Dog, lightning struck the first story of the castle keep, and the remaining structure burned down. On the 6th day, this was reported to Edo.
