今度加々爪土佐守成瀬吉右衛門知行所野論ニ付郷村帳之儀及諍論ニ候

聞候へ共右之輩御縁家之輩ニ付御翠簾不被懸と云
一筆令啓上候松平越後守事仕置悪敷家中騒動之段不調法被
思召候依之其方へ御預被成候道中之儀京極備中守被仰付召連候

申し達し差図を受けるべきところ、相調う場合は主人より状を取り、その身として誓紙を致し免じられるべきこと
右の外、乗物の儀は申すに及ばず、駕籠であろうとも御目付衆へ申し達し、やむを得ない事情がある場合は吟味の上指図があるべきものである 延宝九年（酉年）五月二十八日
○同年、領知を召し上げられ石川若狭守殿へ御預けとなった 子息 加々爪土佐守殿
松平土佐守殿へ御預けとなった 父 加々爪甲斐守殿
右は成瀬吉右衛門殿知行所の野境論の御吟味を遂げられた際、甲斐守殿拝領地受取の刻に不念な仕方があり、土佐守殿より差し出した書付が前後相違した。甲斐守は前方奉行役をも勤めた訳も承知しながら、右の段不届きと思し召された旨である。（上杉弾正大弼殿へ御預け）伊奈左衛門殿

[should report] to the senior councilors and receive instructions. When arrangements are made, a letter should be obtained from their lord, and permission granted with their personal written oath.
Regarding the above matters concerning palanquins, it goes without saying, but even for kago (simple palanquins), one must report to the metsuke (inspectors), and if there are unavoidable circumstances, instructions will be given after investigation. Father Kagatsume Kai-no-kami was placed under the custody of Lord Matsudaira Tosa-no-kami
This concerned the investigation of a boundary dispute over the fief of Lord Naruse Kichizaemon. When Lord Kai-no-kami received his granted land, there were careless procedures, and documents submitted by Lord Tosa-no-kami contained contradictions. Since Lord Kai-no-kami had previously served as a magistrate and should have known better, this was deemed improper conduct. (Lord Uesugi Danjō-daihitsu was also placed under custody) Lord Ina Saemon
In this case of the field boundary dispute between Lord Kagatsume Tosa-no-kami and Lord Naruse Kichizaemon, the matter of village registers became a subject of dispute. When Lord Kagatsume Kai-no-kami received his domain, he should have obtained proper documentation, but his careless procedures were deemed improper. Although severe punishment should have been imposed, mercy was shown and he was placed under custody.
○ In the same year, the townsman Ishikawa Rokudayū of Funamachi, along with his wife and three children, were banished, and their properties at both locations were confiscated.

At the time of this direct judgment, according to ancient precedent, disputes and confrontations between houses were heard from behind the jade curtain, but since these individuals were related to the Shogun's family, the jade curtain was not hung.
I humbly write to inform you: Regarding Matsudaira Echigo-no-kami, his poor governance and the disturbance within his household are deemed improper. Therefore, he is placed under your custody. For the journey, Lord Kyōgoku Bitchū-no-kami has been appointed to escort him. Please understand this matter accordingly. With utmost respect and humility.
