下された。追って森帯刀殿は寄合にて分知五百石にて居住していたが、内記殿の嫡子に仰せ付けられた。これにより作州津山城を受け取ることになったが、水野美作守殿が在邑(領地にいる)につき奉書を以て仰せ付けられた。ところが病気をされたため、代理として酒井靱負佐殿へ仰せ付けられた。
○同年十月十七日夜 大塚町法華宗善正寺より出火し、一里半余りが焼け、袋二番丁で焼け止まった。侍屋敷《八百二十五軒}}、与力《十二軒}}、同心陸尺《三十八軒}}、堂《二十九軒}}、町屋が焼失した。

一、元禄十一年寅年 小湊誕生寺派深川妙栄寺の日泰という僧と妙月比丘尼が示し合わせて宗門に紛らわしい儀を勧めたにつき御詮議があり、牢舎に入れられていたが火事があって深川へ牢から遣わされた。ところが欠落して行方不明となったため、人形を以て諸国に御尋ねの後、搦め捕られて御仕置となった。この節、四谷法華寺・谷中感応寺が揚屋へ遣わされ、御詮議の上、脱衣縄へ懸けられて御仕置、《三田}}大念寺・境妙寺・中道寺・《四谷}}寂光寺は遠島となった。右の妙月比丘尼は蜂須賀飛騨守殿の家中の者の娘にて、その兄が彼の家にあって仕置があったとのこと。感応寺にて妙月は色衣日蓮宗を免じ申すと云々。

《ある年、或る人が語って云うには、加州大守に千代鶴の太刀があり、長さ三尺三寸である。これを世の通りの尺に改めて何かの用とて、神田の兼常という鍛冶に命じられるということであった。兼常はその日の朝早く起きて門外に立ち出ると、女性一人が立っており、上に金襴の衣を着ていた。兼常に向かって言うには、「あな畏し、この太刀を改めることなかれ、重ねて重ねてこのことを頼む」旨を言う。兼常が云うには「太刀刀を改めることは常々多くあること、何を証拠にしてその方の言う刀を知ろうや」と。女性が言うには「さらばこれを証拠にし給え」とて刀の白木の柄を渡し、重ねて重ねて頼むと言って帰って行った。怪しと思う所に昼の頃、加州大守より召され、則ち参ると、太刀の寸を上げることを命じられ、取り出して兼常に渡されるのを見れば、刀を入れた袋の金襴が正しく女性の上に着した衣の紋と同じであった。怪しと思い家に持ち帰り、かの柄を合わせ見れば正に一具である。驚いて検使に来りし侍にその事を語りて堅く辞退せしかば、大守もこれを聞き給い、この事を止め給うとのこと。名作は銘を惜むということ、まことにそうであると云々}}

<<In a certain year, someone told this story: The great lord of Kaga Province possessed a sword called Chiyotsuru, three shaku and three sun in length. To convert it to the standard measurement and for some purpose, he was going to command the swordsmith Kanetsune of Kanda. On the morning of that day, Kanetsune rose early and went outside his gate, where a woman stood wearing golden brocade robes. She said to Kanetsune: "I beseech you, do not alter this sword.
