家中仕置が悪しく不届きと思し召し、城地を召し上げ一万石を下され、居屋敷は本所の浅野内匠頭殿上屋敷を下され、閉門仕り罷り在るべき旨を土屋相模守宅において仰せ渡された。

本多出雲守の儀、御預けに差し置かれたところ、出雲[守]の不届きの仕形を両人の家来が訴え出るまで申し上げずに罷り在った段、不念と思し召された。出雲の事は水野監物へ御預け替えを成され、左衛門尉は閉門を仰せ付けられた旨。

最初不仁の儀共が有り、酒井左衛門尉殿へ御預け置かれたところ、家来非儀の召し仕い様重々不届き、死罪を仰せ付けらるべきであるが、乱気の仕形につき水野監物へ御預け、急度押し込み差し置くべき旨を仰せ出された。

両人の儀、出雲御預けの先まで附き参ったからには何分にも相勤むべきところ、奉公が罷り成らぬ由を左衛門尉の家来まで訴えた段、不届きである。これにより遠島申し付ける者である。

The management of his domain was deemed improper and inappropriate. His castle grounds were confiscated, he was granted 10,000 koku, his residence was given the upper mansion of Lord Asano Takumi-no-kami in Honjo, and he was ordered to remain in house confinement. This was announced at the residence of Lord Tsuchiya Sagami-no-kami.
His retainers: Asai Shinemon, Tako Heizō, Nishio Jidayū, Suga Kinzaemon
These four men acted as leaders and had twenty-five men sign a joint petition, forming a faction. For this inappropriate conduct, they were sentenced to death.

○Same year, July: Regarding Lord Honda Izumo-no-kami's case, there was a consultation at the Council of Deliberation. At this time he was in the custody of Lord Sakai Saemon-no-jō at the Asakusa lower mansion, but this time he was transferred to the custody of Lord Mizuno Kenmotsu. Two retainers of Lord Izumo-no-kami were attending him, but these men were exiled, as announced to Lord Saemon-no-jō.
Regarding Honda Izumo-no-kami's placement in custody: until the two retainers reported Izumo-[no-kami]'s inappropriate conduct, they had remained without reporting it, which was considered negligent. Izumo was transferred to the custody of Lord Mizuno Kenmotsu, and Saemon-no-jō was ordered into house confinement.

His retainers' improper service was repeatedly inappropriate, and although he should have been sentenced to death, due to his mentally disturbed behavior, he was transferred to the custody of Lord Mizuno Kenmotsu and ordered to be strictly confined.

These two men, having attended during Izumo's custody, should have served properly in any capacity, but they complained to Saemon-no-jō's retainers that they could not perform their service. This conduct was inappropriate, and therefore they are sentenced to exile.
Regarding this matter, the metsuke who went to Shōnai in Dewa - Lord Ōkubo Gonzaemon and Lord Amano Ichirōzaemon - were ordered into house confinement.
