一前書取調之趣ハ相撲人共申合は格別猥申得間敷事

同二十三日勧進元差添が書付を持参したところ、土俵絵図並びに相撲名前を二枚ずつ明日二十四日に持参すべき旨申し渡され、翌日相撲の式並びに上覧御場所絵図両様とも池田筑後守殿御役宅へ差し出した。

同二十六日池田筑後守殿の御役宅において喜平治・村右衛門へ上覧相撲を仰せ付けられ、有り難き旨御受けした。
六月二日場所見分があり相済み、同日相撲取組相撲人総人数人別を差し出す。
同四日喜平治・村右衛門召し出され御書付を渡る。
年寄共へ
明五日は相撲御延引を仰せ出され候。しかしながら近日の内に仰せ出されるので、
相撲人共散らないよう年寄共銘々よく申し談ずべし。御差支えに
ならないよう心掛けるべし。
六月五日また候、喜平治・村右衛門召し出され筑後守殿御役宅において当十一日相撲上覧があるべき旨仰せ付けられ、有り難く御受け申し上げる。
先達て池田筑後守殿がいよいよ上覧の儀を仰せ付けられたにつき、その節村右衛門申し上げるには、恐れながら相撲の儀は古来禁庭節会の祭事を相勤めてきた相撲の司御行事吉田追風末流吉田善左衛門と申す仁が当時

Fourth month
On the same 23rd day, when the promoter and assistant brought written documents, they were instructed to bring diagrams of the ring and sumo wrestlers' names, two copies each, on the 24th of the following day. The next day, both the sumo ceremony and the venue diagrams for the [Shogun's] viewing were submitted to the official residence of Ikeda Chikugo-no-kami-dono.
(However, the ring, four pillars, and curtains were all commissioned to Isenoumi Muraemon as a contract)
On the same 26th day, at the official residence of Ikeda Chikugo-no-kami-dono, Kiheiji and Muraemon were appointed to conduct the sumo viewing and gratefully accepted the honor.
On the 2nd of the sixth month, there was an inspection of the venue which was completed, and on the same day a complete roster of all sumo wrestlers and their matches was submitted.
On the same 4th day, Kiheiji and Muraemon were summoned and given written instructions.
To the Elders
Tomorrow, the 5th, the sumo has been postponed by imperial decree. However, since it will be announced within the next few days,
the elders should each consult well to ensure the sumo wrestlers do not disperse. They should be mindful not to cause any interference.
On the 5th of the sixth month, Kiheiji and Muraemon were again summoned to the official residence of Chikugo-no-kami-dono and were informed that the sumo viewing would take place on the 11th of this month, which they gratefully accepted.
