一 In the same month, he was permitted to change his name to Zōsaku (造酒) as requested.
一 In the 3rd month of the 3rd year of the same era (Year of the Horse), he was granted his first formal audience with the lord as requested by his parent.
一 In the intercalary 7th month of the 5th year (Year of the Monkey), he was appointed as a guard substitute as requested by his parent, serving castle guard duty in Sugita Gorōbei's unit.

Note: For this service, he was granted sake by the lord.
一 In the 9th month of Enkyō 4 (Year of the Rabbit, 1747), due to the death by illness of unit head Sugita Gorōbei, he was transferred to Suwa Isuke's unit as a successor.
