For raising many disciples, he was rewarded with one used kosode (short-sleeved kimono) that had been worn by his lord.
- Anei 7th year (1778), 4th month: For diligently performing various confidential duties, he was privately given two bundles of cotton.
- Same year, 8th month: He was appointed to road security duty during the funeral procession of Lord Kōkyōin.
- Same month: He was privately given a striped katabira (summer kimono) from the lord's used garments collection.

- Same year, 3rd month: For diligently attending every musical performance session, he was privately given one bundle of cotton.

- Same year, 12th month: He was appointed as next year's toshiotoko (New Year ceremonial role).
Note: For this appointment, he was privately given a used noshime (formal kimono) that had been worn by his lord.
