良徳院様の御会日の節、貞昭様の御用に差し合いもあり、その上病後で未だ歩行が困難であることが御聞きに達し、通常通りの勤務は困難であることから、良徳院様の相手御用を権務（代理）とする旨を仰せ付けられた件
一 寛政五年正月、願いの通り隠居を仰せ付けられた件
一 同年七月六日、六十歳で病死。法名は秋源院不意皓月居士。葬所は武州

- Kansei 2nd year (1790), 7th month: While he had been appointed as calligraphy instructor to both Lord Sadaaki and Lord Ryōtokuin,

during Lord Ryōtokuin's meeting days, there were scheduling conflicts with Lord Sadaaki's duties, and moreover, it came to the lord's attention that he had not yet recovered his ability to walk properly after his illness, making regular service difficult. Therefore, he was ordered to serve Lord Ryōtokuin's instruction duties on a temporary/substitute basis.
- Kansei 5th year (1793), 1st month: He was granted retirement as requested.
- Same year, 7th month, 6th day: He died of illness at age 60. His posthumous Buddhist name was Shūgenin Fui Kōgetsu Koji. He was buried in Musashi Province.
